�         Women world cup 2017 is an international cricket  tournament  for women ,currently  it is hosted by England from 24 june to 23 july 2017.

�         It is the eleventh edition of women world cup .



Tournament Director of the ICC Women�s World Cup 2017, Steve Elworthy, said: �Preparations are now well under way for this summer�s tournament which we hope will push new boundaries for the women�s game. We have worked hard with the venues to put together a schedule that best meets the needs of the players, fans and broadcasters. Confirming the start date as Saturday 24 June, means we have an additional weekend of cricket and it promises to be an exciting opening weekend for everyone involved.�

History of women world cup



First women  world international cricked was played in 1934.The first test match was played on 28-31st December 1934 which was won by England.
The first world cup was taken place in 1973 at England. Initially it become difficult to carry this tournament  due to less funds available, But crossing all the difficulties now women world cup is hosted by different countries at regular four years of interval.

WOMEN CRICKET IN INDIA

The first official Indian cricket team was formed in 1911. The women Indian team made their first debut against England in 1932.
The first women cricket association was formed in 1973 and they play their first test match in 1976 against West Indies.
The women�s cricket association of India was merged with board of control for cricket in India in 2006.

Women cricket team also known as women in blue. One of  the eight team competing in the ICC women�s championship the team is organized by the BCCI.

CAPTAIN   of   Indian CRICKET  team �Women�2017

MITHALI RAJ is Captain of Indian women cricket team of both ODI and Test. She is the second highest run scorer in international women cricket team and also the second female cricketer to score 5500 run. She is the first player to score 7th consecutive 50s in ODI.

The Music < Tarp Family: Folk Fest 2014 Wrap Up

It's taken me a long time to write this post because mostly I couldn't think of how to fill out my top 5 for the Edmonton Folk Fest 2014 . This was not a stellar year on the hill for music for me. I've previously acknowledged that I've pigeon holed myself so much musically that I enjoy less and less these days.
