Curling on TV: 2013 Continental Cup of Curling

The 2013 Continental Cup of Curling starts this week! It's taking place in Penticton, BC, from January 10-13. It's a super fun event - North America vs The World - and they'll play the men's, women's, skins, mixed doubles and singles (hot shots). I was fortunate to attend in 2011 so can vouch that it's fun to watch. Since the competition is a bit different and the teams are part of bigger teams it's a good time all around. There's more rules and info on wikipedia.

Teams:

North America: Nedohin, Jones, Pottinger, Howard, Martin, McCormick

Captain: Kelley Law

Coach: Rick Lang

World: Ott, Muirhead, Sigfridsson, Brewster, Ulsrud, Edin

Captain: David Hay

Coach: Peja Lindholm

It'll all be on TSN (or TSN mobile if you're on Bell or Virgin Mobile). All times below are Eastern.

Thursday Jan. 10

11:30am - Women's Team

4:00pm - Mixed Doubles

Also check out the draw schedule for the different events/team match ups. Be sure to watch/PVR some of the action. The World won last year, but North America is leading 5-3 since 2002 - I'm curious to see who will win...
